This Turkey Alfredo Stromboli is an easy meal that includes leftover turkey, homemade Alfredo sauce, and cheese, rolled up in pizza dough and baked until golden! Perfect for an easy dinner or school lunches.

This Turkey Alfredo Stromboli, friends — it’s a good one!

It’s got the perfect combination of easy, hearty and comforting for those chilly days we all know are ahead for quite some time yet (especially if you’re in Manitoba like we are!). It has so many of my favorite things:

  • tender, shredded turkey — perfect for holiday leftovers or easy to cook up on a weeknight!
  • rich, creamy homemade Alfredo sauce
  • cheese, cheese and more cheese
  • a golden roll of pizza dough holding it all together for one delicious bite

I always buy an extra turkey early in the fall when they are featuured for the holidays — a small one that I can fit in my slow cooker and make this Crockpot Turkey with Garlic Butter, then I use the carcass to make broth, and soup, and I chop or shred the rest of the meat to freeze for easy meals down the road.

I’m not a big meal prepper, but just have some delicious, cooked turkey ready to throw in whatever dinner I’m making for an easy source of protein is a lifesaver through the winter.

This Turkey Alfredo Stromboli is one of my new favorite ways to cook it up — and the girls love the leftovers for lunches through the week!

What is stromboli?

Stromboli is essentially one big pizza roll.

I make this Turkey Stromboli  with refrigerated pizza dough (we have to give ourselves a break every now and then, but if you want to make your pizza dough from scratch, check out my Quick and Easy Pizza Dough recipe here), fill, roll, and bake!

How to make Stromboli:

  1. Get your pizza dough — whether you’re using store bought or homemade — and roll it into a large rectangle.
  2. Fill it up — but not too full, and leave a space around the edge so we can pinch it together to keep that Turkey Alfredo goodness inside!
  3. Brush with an egg wash to seal everything in and create that gorgeous golden crust that can almost convince your friends you made it all from scratch ?
  4. Let it cool for a few minutes (otherwise your sauce and cheese will all run out!), then slice and serve and watch it magically disappear.
  5. Got leftovers? You can slice and wrap for lunches — store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, or freeze individually wrapped slices for up to 3 months.

Can I use store bought Alfredo sauce?

You can definitely use store bought Alfredo sauce if you need to give yourself a break. I’m all for shortcuts when we need it!

I haven’t found a store bought Alfredo sauce that I really like, so I always make it from scratch, but if you like it, go for it!

Don’t have leftover turkey?

Simply buy a couple of turkey thighs, drumsticks or a turkey breast and throw in the slow cooker in the morning (or in the Instant Pot if you’re not as on top of things!) — by dinner prep time you’ll have tender, shredded turkey perfect for using in this stromboli.

Canadian Turkey has an awesome chart including the cook times for all different cuts of turkey which is incredibly helpful!

I’ll show you how to make the best nachos and 3 different ways to do them up! Nachos are a crowd favourite every Super Bowl, game day or family movie night — an easy appetizer or easy dinner that everyone loves! Skip the regular ground beef in favour of these Pepperoni Pizza, Philly Cheesesteak, or Bacon Chicken Alfredo nachos.

If you’ve been around here for a while, maybe you know that one of my favorite things to do is put new twists on old favourites. Which is why you’ll see no ground beef on what I’m claiming to be the best nachos. (Although I put some beef on these here BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Nachos so you know I’m not opposed!)

But if you can get over your shock I promise you, you won’t regret it. Regular beef nachos are great, sure, but put a tray of these on the table for your Super Bowl LII party? I guarantee you you’ll be the real winner 😉 (<– too much??).

I confess, I’m a bit of a homebody. But I love having people over.

What I don’t love? Spending all day in the kitchen and missing out on all the fun! Nachos are one of the easiest things to whip up for Super Bowl snacks or a quick weeknight dinner — just grab a bag of Tostitos, some cheese and whatever toppings you can find.

I love to load mine right up so we can count them as dinner (and who’s not down for a handheld meal??).

So whether you’re hosting the ultimate Super Bowl LII party or it’s just you and the hubs binging on Netflix after the kids are in bed, I’ve got 3 ridiculously awesome options for you down below 😉

Here are some tips for How to Make the Best Nachos:

  • Start with a big, rimmed baking sheet and a piece of parchment paper — you don’t want any of that cheesy goodness being left behind on the pan!
  • Add the cheese before your other toppings, and a little on top for good measure — If you are adding a drizzle of sauce like I have on these, the cheese keeps the chips from getting soggy and acts as glue to make sure every bite is loaded!
  • Mix things up — no need to stick to any recipe! Add veggies, meats, and different cheeses to make them your own.

These Chicken Alfredo Quesadillas are an easy lunch, dinner or snack! They’re filled with leftover chicken, Alfredo sauce and cheese — easy comfort food! A 10 minute meal.

So normally here on TRR, the first Thursday of the month is 30 Minute Thursday! As much as I love 30 minute meals (be honest — we all do!), I won’t pass up a 10 minute meal either.

It just doesn’t get much easier.

close up image of chicken alfredo quesadillas stacked on grey plate

I love prepping food ahead of time because it makes for such easy meals throughout the week. These quesadillas are packed with chicken (cook it ahead of time for the week!), Alfredo sauce (buy your favorite brand or try my favorite — this Pesto Spinach Alfredo Sauce), and cheese — whichever kind is your favorite!

Quesadillas are one of our favorite easy meals (especially when the fridge is stocked with Dempster’s™ tortillas!) — you can stuff them with anything you have in the fridge and they are ready in just a few minutes. Basically – top, fold and heat! It doesn’t get much easier than that.

I wanted to come up with a new twist this time, but still keep the ingredient list on the low side. With a 4 and almost-2-year-old, sometimes I only get a few minutes to quickly throw something in the pan! And since Chicken Alfredo has always been one of my favorite comfort foods, I thought this was the perfect way to enjoy it all week long!
